WPIAL Championship Information

Peters Township Indians will take on Pine-Richland this Saturday, November 23, at Acrisure Stadium. Game time is set for 8:00pm.

Tickets / Gates / Bags
The Steeler’s Ticket Office, located at the intersection of Art Rooney Avenue and General Robinson Street will open at 10am on Saturday, November 23 for people wishing to purchase tickets at the site. Gate B will open 1 hour before the first game time. All pre-purchased tickets and gate sale tickets will be $10. All fans with pre-purchased game tickets must enter via Gate B (near the Steeler’s Pro Shop) on the East side of the stadium. PLEASE BE AWARE THAT ACRISURE HAS A CLESR BAG POLICY AND ALL PATRONS WILL BE SCANNED UPON ENTRY. All those wishing to purchase tickets must do so at the Steeler’s Ticket Office.

Each fan may carry in their pocket items such as keys, makeup, combs, phones, wallets, and credit cards. Fans will continue to be able to carry in blankets and jackets.

Bags that are clear plastic, vinyl or PVC and do not exceed 12″ x 6″ x 12″.

Small clutches or purses, approximately the size of a hand or 4.5″ x 6.5″ with or without a handle or strap, may be carried into the stadium along with one of the clear bag options.

Diapers and wipes can be carried in a clear bag, however diaper bags are not permitted. An exception will be made for medically necessary items, after proper inspection at the gate.

Noisemakers and Signs
The rules pertaining to signs and noisemakers are the same for WPIAL play-off games in earlier rounds of the tournament. The presence and use of whistles, sirens, horns, and stick held pom poms are prohibited. If these items are discovered after gate entry, they will be confiscated. The Principle and or Athletic Director will be responsible for policing this.

Stationary signs and banners that are sportsmanlike in their message are permitted. Again, the Principle is responsible for enforcing this policy. These regulations should be announced and publicized by the administration of participating schools.

Programs
Digital programs will be available on the WPIAL website prior to the start of the first game.

Streaming
The Championship games will be video broadcast live on NFHS Network, with KDKA Radio and other affiliates of the WPIAL hosting audio-only broadcast. TV will have one (1) 90 second timeout per quarter. There will also be two (2) minuets in between the first and second quarters as well as a two-minuet intermission in between the third and fourth quarters.

Pre-sale Tickets
All pre-sale tickets must be purchased online at: Ticketmaster.com by searching “WPIAL football tickets.” There will be no physical tickets sold in advance. All tickets for the championships will be $10 and patrons are welcome to stay for all games on the day of entry. Pre K children will be admitted FREE of charge if accompanied by an adult with a valid ticket.

Spectator Seating
All fans with game tickets will enter thru Gate “B” (Near Steeler Pro Shop): We are the VISITING TEAM and will sit in Sections 101-115. Concessions inside the stadium will be cashless.

If spectators leave they must purchase another ticket to re-enter. Only the first level of the stadium will be open.

Parking
Acrisure Stadium parking lots will open at 9:00am Friday. The rate is $15 this year per ALCO Parking. PARKING IS CASHLESS. Acrisure Stadium lots have handicapped spaces available. There is also an ADA drop off located at Art Rooney and Reedsdale St., near Gate B. This will the easiest one for fans to use when entering the stadium. VIP and media parking will not be available, as Acrisure Stadium had no parking spaces under their control. Acrisure Parking recommendations:

  • North Side lots
  • Downtown parking lots and use the LRT free of charge to the stadium.
